I believe that every person facing their mortality has the right to know and explore their options; to have the final say in determining their choices; and when their time comes, to die in a humane and supported way, according to their values – including being able to choose the timing of their death (wherever possible and feasible). Both the client and their family/care partners deserve optimum care and assistance throughout the uniquely challenging transitional experience that is dying.
